Take a boat trip along the cliffs of Taqah and Mirbat to watch pods of playful dolphins, followed by snorkeling over coral reefs teeming with sea life.
Explore the spectacular marine life of Dhofar with our premium dolphin watching and snorkeling coastal cruise. The waters off the coast of Salalah are home to large populations of spinner, bottlenose, and common dolphins. This tour takes you along the rugged limestone sea cliffs of East Salalah, starting from the historic fishing town of Taqah and sailing towards the marine sanctuaries of Mirbat.
We board our professional motorboat at the marina, where our captain will guide us along the coastline. Dolphins are highly active in these waters, and there is a high chance of spotting pods of up to 50 dolphins swimming alongside the boat, jumping, and playing in the bow waves. After the dolphin cruise, we anchor in a protected, shallow cove in Taqah or Mirbat, famous for its healthy coral reefs and crystal-clear waters. Here, you will spend an hour snorkeling among colorful reef fish, rays, and sea turtles, with all snorkeling gear provided.
Throughout the cruise, we serve light refreshments, including a fresh fruit platter, juices, and cold water. This tour is perfect for families and couples seeking to combine ocean adventure with the scenic beauty of Dhofar's coastal cliffs. Note that this tour operates only during the winter and dry season (October to May) when the sea is calm; marine tours are suspended during the Khareef due to rough waves.

All our private tours are tailored specifically for your group. You will have a dedicated local Omani guide who also acts as your driver, providing a comfortable, informative, and private experience. The schedule can be adjusted dynamically based on your interest, walking pace, and weather conditions.
We utilize modern, clean, air-conditioned 4WD vehicles (such as Toyota Land Cruisers or Nissan Patrols) for all mountain and desert safaris. Sedan vehicles are used for standard city heritage tours. Child seats can be provided upon request at no extra charge. Our drivers are trained in off-road sand driving and mountain pass safety.
When visiting religious and local heritage sites (such as the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque or local castles), strict dress codes apply. Both men and women must cover their shoulders and knees. Women must cover their hair and wear full-length sleeves and trousers/skirts when entering the grand mosque. Modest swimwear is acceptable at private resort beaches, but shorts and t-shirts are recommended on public beaches.
Dhofar experiences two distinct seasons. The Khareef monsoon (June to September) features near-constant light drizzle, mist, and cooler temperatures. Hiking paths can be muddy, and waterfalls are active. During this season, sea swimming and boat cruises are completely suspended due to rough waves. The dry winter season (October to May) offers warm sunshine, blue skies, and calm seas, which are perfect for snorkeling, diving, and desert camping.
We recommend booking at least 3 months in advance for the peak Khareef season (July and August) due to exceptionally high demand. To secure your reservation, a deposit may be requested. Cancellations made up to 48 hours before the tour departure are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours or no-shows are subject to a 100% cancellation fee.
Our prices are calculated per vehicle/group (up to 4 travelers). This offers excellent value for families and couples, as you get a private guide and vehicle for a flat rate.
